Looking across the Ourika Valley

Exploring the Soaks

Admiring the Majorelle Gardens

In February I visited Marrakech to prepare for the workshop. I found a vibrant place full of colour and activities. I looked for a Riad - a garden house - to use for the workshop and I found a Riad close to the old Medina. An ideal location for the workshop.

*Exploring the Souks and Kasbahs was a delight for the eyes. Full of colour, character and activities.
*The trip through the Ourika Valley was impressive with visits to places along
the route. At the end of the road through the valley you find the village of Setti Fattma which is located at the foot hills of the Atlas Mountains.
*Visiting the Majorelle Gardens, created by the French artists Jacques and Louis Majorelle, was breathtakingly beautiful.

The Marrakech region is an oasis of creativity for photographers. Four (4) people can take part.

Participants stay in a traditional Riad, a garden house, which is in walking distance from the famous Djamaa El Fna Square in the old Medina where you find the souks and kasbahs. Traditional Moroccan evening meals are taken in the Riad or in the many restaurants in the Jemaa El Fna Square and beyond. The food is delicious!
