This course is designed for those who have practiced some B&W printing and wish to further improve their printing techniques. Students practice how to interpret a B&W negatives and to apply multi contract filters.

Students practice printing from their own negatives on fibre based papers and they have an opportunity to tone their prints for archival quality. Toning gives the prints its rich deep black tones and clean white high lights. In addition the course includes creating imaginative photograms.
